Definitions

“We”, “our” and “us” means Network Packaging Ltd, our directors and colleagues.

Policy Statement

Here at Network Packaging, we believe we have a responsibility to ensure our business operations impact positively on society.

Therefore, we are committed to protecting and enhancing the environment, where operationally possible and practical. This commitment will form part of the Network Packaging business strategy
and operating methods. It is our priority to encourage our suppliers, contractors and customers to do the same.

Our Policy

1.0 We will wholly support and comply with (or exceed) the requirements of all current environmental legislation and codes of conduct.

2.0 We will minimise our waste output and where possible, look to reuse and recycle any waste materials.

3.0 We will minimise energy and water usage in all Network Packaging premises, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies, and minimise our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.

4.0 We will operate and maintain company vehicles with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably.

4.1 Route planning will be used to minimise mileage and emissions.

4.2 Any new vehicles added to our delivery fleet will meet Euro 5 standards.

5.0 We will apply the principles of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce any impacts from our operations on the environment and local community.

6.0 Where possible, we will purchase products and services that have minimal impact on the environment and encourage others to do the same.

6.1 All suppliers and contractors will be assessed before being added to our roster via our new supplier questionnaire.

7.0 We will assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce prior to their introduction.

8.0 We will ensure that all colleagues understand our environmental policy and confirm to the high standards it required.

9.0 We will promptly address complaints about any breach of our Environmental Policy to the satisfaction of all concerned.

10.0 We will review and update Environmental Policy yearly in consultation with colleagues, suppliers and customers, as well as in line with any new legal requirements, regulations and code of conducts.
