Network Packaging is excited to be able to offer two new bottle packaging options to our customers, adding to our already extensive range.
We’re now able to offer customers Flexi-Hex® biodegradable bottle packaging, as well as new UPS Approved Bottle Packaging. The latter is available exclusively through Macfarlane Group, in partnership with UPS, Smurfit Kappa and Sealed Air.
Flexi-Hex® 100% recyclable & biodegradable bottle packaging
Flexi-Hex® is a plastic free, biodegradable concertina style honeycomb protector ideal for protecting bottles in transit. The product is a great alternative to polystyrene bottle packs and other plastic bottle packaging.
They arrive flat packed and are easy to assemble, offering storage and productivity savings. Flexi-Hex® also offers high compression resistance, reducing damages and returns. Plus, the product is environmentally-friendly too:
- Made from 100% recycled material
- Water based adhesive
- 100% plastic free
- Biodegradable
Flexi-Hex® is available as a gift pack for retail or as an ecommerce pack for shipping, and it can be printed (subject to MOQs). Samples are available, simply complete our contact form for more information.
UPS Approved Bottle Packaging
Based on Sealed Air Korrvu technology, our group’s new UPS approved bottle packaging is available in four sizes to suit different shape bottles.
- Type a – designed for small and bulky bottles, like gin and whisky of 500ml/700ml
- Type b – designed for both bulky and flat, wide bottles, like whisky or tequila of 500ml/700ml
- Type c – our tallest pack, suitable for spirits in long, slim bottles in 500ml/700ml/1000ml
- Type d – fits the widest range of standard size spirit and wine bottles, usually 500ml/700ml
The packs have been subject to rigorous UPS testing standards and offer significant protection against damages in transit when the packaging is used correctly. So much so, if a customer experiences damage, UPS will pay the damage claim.
Emma Phimister, Network Packaging Sales Manager says “Both Flexi-Hex® and our UPS approved bottle packaging are great additions to the bottle packaging options we can provide our customers with. Helping customers choose the best solution for them is key to our offering, and diversifying our product range supports this goal.”
