Network Packaging is pleased to announce it now stocks recycled content stretch film as standard. The change applies to our stock range of hand-applied blown stretch films that are 16 micron or higher from 1 March 2021.
Available as black or clear film, the new stretch will contain a minimum of 30% recycled content.
The advantages of using recycled content film
- Saves natural resources & reduces your impact on the environment – using recycled content packaging materials helps reduce waste going to landfill and straining valuable fossil resources. So, it helps reduce your environmental impact and supports a more sustainable supply chain. Click here to read more about how switching recycled content packaging can benefit the environment.
- Exempt from the plastic tax – as the new film contains at least 30% recycled content, it is exempt from the incoming UK plastic packaging tax. The tax will see plastic packaging that contains less than 30% recycled content subject to a levy of £200 per tonne. Click here to learn more about this tax.
- The same performance as virgin film – using more eco-friendly film doesn’t mean you have to compromise on performance. The load containment on our recycled content film is equivalent to 100% virgin material.
