Network Packaging is excited to announce it can now supply new AirSpeed® Renew air bag packaging to its customers.
AirSpeed® Renew contains 50% post-consumer recycled content and is also recyclable. Using post-consumer recycled content in the manufacturing of this air pillow film means that less waste is going to landfill, and it contributes to a circular economy.
The recycled content also means that AirSpeed® Renew film is grey, rather than the usual clear air pillows any people are used to seeing. The grey colour of the film may differ depending on the batch it was produced in, but the quality remains consistent. Even the print on the film is made from water-based ink – grey is the new green!
Available in two sizes, AirSpeed® Renew film is used with the new Pregis Mini PAK’R v3 void fill system. The system is compact, easy to operate and can be used as a stand alone or integrated into mobile or top fill solutions.
Emma Phimister, Network Packaging manager says: “Being able to offer our customers high recycled content packaging products is essential to support them in reducing their environmental impact. AirSpeed® renew is a great example of this. It’s also ideal for customers looking to mitigate the new plastic packaging levy being introduced in 2022.”
