Remote packaging design and prototyping available at our group Innovation Lab

Network Packaging is now able to provide customers access to remote packaging design and prototyping through facilities provided our by parent company Macfarlane Packaging. Investment in the lab means customers can work remotely with designers at the group’s Innovation Lab, based in Milton Keynes, and instantly receive prototypes of their packaging.

The new service has been developed by the Innovation Lab team working closely with AG/CAD, using the latest KASEMAKE 12 CAD software. The software works seamlessly in the field with real time synchronisation of data supported by a cloud-based solution. This flexibility means that designs created remotely with customers can be sampled immediately at the Innovation Lab’s prototyping facility.

Macfarlane Packaging’s Innovation Lab helps customers by reducing their total cost of packaging and environmental impact through optimised packaging solutions. With the new design infrastructure in place, customers can continue to work remotely and still receive the support they need with their packaging.

The enhanced Innovation Lab includes:

  • A secure and effective remote working capability through cloud-based software, which provides live syncing of files with instant sample production
  • An investment in a new Jetrix KX6 LED printer supplied by AG/CAD, which can print samples that closely represent the manufactured product, printing full colour and white directly on to a range of materials

Martin Dunn, Network Packaging’s Sales Director commented “Further investment in the Innovation Lab has enabled our group to adapt to the need for remote working, whilst continuing to give customers access to market-leading design services.
